Boris Johnson - Liar?

Ok so you're fine with a potential Prime Minister being utterly untrustworthy, even towards his wife, the mother of his children.

I understand.

What about the other points?
By' eck you're either incredibly naive or just plain stupid.

I think spec ops has proven through his posts and responses that he is not naive! :thumright:

Neither.

Obviously numerous politicians engage in Ugandan discussions whilst their spouses are absent.

It's not an admirable thing. They generally keep it secret.

If you know before you get a chance to vote for someone like Bozza that he is utterly untrustworthy and entirely without scruples, should you put him in charge of HMRC, MoD, international relations and the police?

Neither of which you know for a fact.
Rather him than the automaton currently masquerading as PM, or the terrorist sympathising, Jew hating Marxist shitwit on the other bench.

This indicates that you are content with a proven deceiver as Prime Minister, that is, proven before taking office.

Have you ever betrayed your own wife? Is that why you think it's acceptable behaviour?

PMTM is a proven liar & deceiver: She said no deal is better than a bad deal, then worked to deliver the worst possible deal in the hope we don't leave after all.
That's a betrayal of historical proportions, yet you're whining because Boris dipped his wick in the wrong socket?
You are indeed an idiot of Bagl0ckesque proportions. YFM

Well, I wouldn't vote for either it that's not really the point.

Up until recently Mrs May could plausibly be presented as an honest, competent politician.

Again, I would not have voted for her but she seemed to display a certain amount of decency and was to many of us lefties, if not the acceptable face of Toryism at least not the monstrous Medusa face.

Now, in your view, she's demonstrated deceitfulness. So you wouldn't vote for her.

Boris is deceitful too.

Find someone else.

If everyone were as picky as you are, nobody would bother voting, or is your "high moral standard" only applicable to Tories?

It's not so much that you're prepared to vote for the dodgy bastard it's more that you refuse to consider his lack of morals a concern.

I assume that's because he chimes with your view on Brexit, is it?

I don't think anyone could accuse her of being competent. As home secretary it took her 7 years to get some fellow deported to Jordan. She was wringing her hands about the possibility of him being tortured there. In the end he was sent, was tried and was acquitted. May spent millions on this charade.

Competent she is not.

I vaguely remember that.

Was it her, though, or was her quite proper desire to see the poxy bastard booted out thwarted by the Courts?

There you go; another twit who thinks he can read other peoples' minds via the medium of posts on the internet.
Prevalent among socialists & so-called "liberals" who are in reality anything but.

We're still well above 60% for GEs, though at pretty much a historical low point, with only the 1918 election scoring lower & that with many voters being overseas.
Problems will start when, not if it falls below 50%, IMO a distinct possibility should we have a GE this year.

I am sure she would lay the blame at her Civil Servants door. And yes she woukld have wanted to be absolutely squeaky claean so that she could not afterwards be accused of stepping outside due process. She was willing to spend any amount of the taxpayers money top to ensure she remained above blame. But it would take a great deal to convince me that a more ruthless or purposeful home secretary could not have had this sorted in 12 months.

You may well be right.

Having said that, if you're Home Secretary and you end up breaking the law, it would be awkward to say the least... must keep them awake at night.

Wasn't there a "Yes, Minister" episode about it?
