Sandals with knee length seal skinz socks.
The ones you eventually try on and feel comfortable with for me though Lowa or Hanwag , so many variants your choice !
Anything but assault boots and you'll be ok.
Early issued assault boots seemed ok, but later issues (by a different manufacturer possibly(?)) do not seem as good.
As suggested by Buzz, if you're intending on walking on water, you'll need sandals, as documented in Matthew 14:22-33.
