Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I've rejoined. I always used to wear size 9's for double socks etc. The new issue boots size 9 are too big and give me blisters. I've got a pair of 8L's but they are really tight acros the top of the foot/toes. Is there a 8L wide? Does anyone have a boots sizing chart so I can check for myself? Thanks.
  2. The (L) part of the sizing means they're a wider fit.
  3. Try a 9S or 9M. Same length as a 9 but narrower fitting but possibly wider than an 8L.
  4. Go to the med centre and get a proper fitting arranged for some good boots.
  5. Your QM Dept/Clothing Storeman could always measure your feet to ensure a correct fit?
