Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Morning guys and Happy New Year to one and all.

Old habits die hard, usually any books I'm looking for, I scribble a note to myself and do the shopping at one go.
Yes I know, notes on phone, laptop, pda and netbook. Ms Skid has cheerfully donated them all to no avail.
Information goes on scrap of paper or post it, into the back pocket and if it survives the wash stuck on to the fridge.
One of the notes has gone west.
All I can remember it was for two books
One I think was called 'How we lost Iraq' (No doubt its about the americans)
And the other had Kosovo and Questions in the title by some Ox Uni lecturer.
Apologies if there's a thread on this.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
    Thank you.
  2. The first one could be "How America Lost Iraq" This is available from several sellers at They start at £4.50 for second hand copies in very good condition.

I'm not so sure about the second book - there are no direct matches. The closest seems to be "Kosovo Crisis". One edition of this was published by a university press. This is also listed on ABE.
  3. Great stuff,
One was Tim Judah and the other was 'How america lost Iraq'
    Many thanks
