Bone question on issue of weapons

Discussion in 'Army Reserve' started by milsum, Jan 15, 2009.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hopefully a straight forward one (well, two), but in need of a swift answer.

    1) I was wondering who is responsible for the issue of weapons for a squardon-level exercise.
    2) Is it done on a names basis - ie record of what is issued to whom, or just numbers, particularly if the weapon is destined to be used by someone not from that squadron.

    Many thanks.

    1) There will be a list of people with authorised access to the armoury (although this will probably be posted inside the armoury...)

    2) Someone will have to sign for each weapon, for accountability purposes. Whoever that is would be well advised to get a 1033 to sign the weapon on the the final user.

Why are weapons from one Sqn being issued to soldiers from another? Sounds like someone is being lazy.
