More likely a pilot with digs in Bishop's Stortford.

Given the way O'Leary effs his employees about, especially during the virus, it could be any one of the crew or all of them in cahoots.

Assuming the "note" was put there by a passenger surely it shouldn't be so difficult to come up with the culprit.

Why would a passenger put a note into the toilet that will result in them landing at an unknown airport? When being malicious, people tend not to try and screw themselves over.

Two in custody:-

"The two men – aged 47 and 26 – have been arrested on suspicion of making threats to endanger an aircraft and are currently in custody."

Maybe a passenger feels the need to claim asylum in the UK.

Its a fair bet that the unknown airport will be Stansted as it is the designated UK airport for such things.

Tadeuz and his mate wanted tickets to London Stansted but none available - only Dublin seats left. Oh never mind eh Piotr, two Dublin tickets will do for now, we can easily convert them to Stansted tickets once we are well on our way...

No doubt His Emperorship had some involvement with the travel plans.

There was another one today, on a Ryanair flight from Stansted to Oslo. Two Danish F16s were scrambled to escort it there (they flew past me!).

Not much info yet, but I gather that there were ready for anything in Norway after it landed. No evidence of explosives was found though.

A 51 year old British man has been arrested.

Edit: Now with link!

It is not the only Op Muffle airport.

[tinfoil hat on] Could this be the next stage of extinction rebellion ******* everyone about? They've shown they are quite happy to go to court for their actions and presumably there's enough deniability over exactly who planted the note and what the note meant to make it worth arguing the toss. [tinfoil hat off]

Know a retired Fire chief from Durham International airport “ha ha ha” . This was many years ago and he often talked about when the next big crash would happen as many international pilots have English as a second language. Also about using Stansted as an Op Muffle airport.
