Blueys - do they even exist anymore?

I'm overseas and my mate sends me blueys, all good and proper. However I didn't bring any with me, what with the new fangled interweb and all that, and him being ex-mil he's clearly got a shedload of these things sitting in his house somewhere. I'm back in the UK for a spot of leave tomorrow so I thought I'd try and get hold of some so that I can write back to him using said bluey. When I asked my comrades in arms here about where I could get some they all thought I was being a mong; 'Just ******* email him you cnut,' or similar hidden message was generally the response. I'm guessing the most obvious place would be a Post Office but I genuinely thought these things had been binned a while ago. Any ideas anyone?

I think they just call it porn now and it's available in many formats other than 35mm home cine version that you were probably used to.

Bluey

Famous for continuity errors - cop gets into his car wearing a brown jacket, gives chase, gets out of car wearing a green jacket

35mm now that's impressive, super8 was all we could afford

I know that you could use the online bluey to type it up and they'd get a printed copy posted to them, which was neat, but nothing beat the perfumed scent of a hand written Bluey from your lass back home.

Or opening it to find that she'd put a few dirty pictures in it.

Or trading said dirty pictures which the choggies for preferential laundry service.

Also, anyone else remember the pig wall the REME had in the COB on Telic? A wall of whores from Plenty O Fish who'd all been convinced that sending dirty pics of themselves via Bluey was a good idea.

Ask your mate where he got his.
Or ask him to send you a few.

An presumably voicing some extreme racist views?

@Forastero,
I might be a bit late to the party, but the post office should still have blueys. Probably better off going to a Main branch if possible.

HM Forces Mail | Post Office
Free air letters for HM Forces personnel

Sometimes called 'Blueys', these are regulated by the Ministry of Defence and can change.

  • Get them in the Post Office
  • Use them to send to Forces personnel on operational duty
