Tony Blair will seek a "signal of intent" on the Middle East peace process when he visits George Bush.
With the issue set to be top of the agenda in Washington this week, the prime minister is eager to see movement from the re-elected president.

Mr Blair's spokesman said it was widely accepted momentum had been lost, partly because of the US election campaign.

He said: "The priority is to restore that momentum - it is important to get a signal of intent from the president."
I lost the will to live after that.

"Signal of intent" Good grief Prime Minister, is that the best you're looking for? How about , "Will seek a timetable for a new Mid-East initative" or "Will forcefully emphasise a return to the Road map"

Signal of intent - Laugh my nadgers off.

"George, what will you do about the Peace initative now?"
"Hey Tony, I'll look at it one of these Tuesdays"
"Great , that's a clear signal of intent"

Of course he'll see a "movement" - after all he's already got his head so far up Bush's arrse that it will take 60 million proctologists to shift him come the election!
