Black Hawk Down Delta Force Helmets

#2
I think it's called a Protec helmet used by Delta Force or whoever back in the 90s because the standard issue helmet then was too heavy for them. Offers virtually no real protection from anything dangerous, apart from perhaps bumping your head on something. It's basically a sports helmet.

Now they have brought in the newest ACH helmets, it's light enough and provides enough protection for all units, no-one uses those Protecs.

So here is the question, whats the best helmet money can buy for ops? I don't mean to look ally as fook in front of Terry, but for actual protection? Are there studies that gauge how our Mk6a or Yank helmets compare to commercial ones?
