Bianca Williams: Met apologises to sprinter over stop-and-search

While people are getting all upset with the old bill after stopping 2 young people and not shooting them, demeaning them, or racially abusing them, perhaps the same people would care to view this video from the same police force
liberating young people from Slavery, yep its still going on in the modern world
the met and a few other raided an encampment, released the victims and cared for them, and hopefully they will have a better life, while their captors feel the full weight of the law
but they wont want to look at this as its shows the Police in a positive light
I assume the victims of this raid were Eastern European rather than etnic minorities, otherwise surely this is exactly what we shouldn't be doing - I thought Lammy and co had made it clear we dont need any more white saviours and this whites helping blacks was racist imperialism

........................Edit..As for you dit about the THEM van...There is also a function on PNC that accomodates that. I wont elaborate further on here but to say - when the VRM was radioed through - it would be known there was something 'special' or restricted about said veh.
Don't know if the system has changed but there used to be a specific AVC for military vehicles carrying civvy plates which had a marker on the PNC/DVLA databases. That fleet comprised various makes/models not usually found in your standard MT yard. I recall two vehicles that no-one ever wanted to drive; one was a Reliant Robin and the other was a Lada 1300. The team that used the Lada, would leave it unlocked when they parked up in the hope it would get nicked and they would get a decent replacement motor - no tea-leaf ever lowered themselves to the challenge.

Slight digression, but this is 100% gen and happened just after they went heavy and starting throwing bans about for the use of mobile phones when driving.

I acquired a second hand car that went with a new job. It's windows were tinted by the previous owner.

I'm hurtling down a busy dual carriageway, and someone calls me on my mobile. I answer it, and it's work related and the caller (a client) wants me to take some details. I said that I was driving and will call back, but the caller is very persistent.

OK, this is manageable, I thought. So I grab and open my A4 note pad and put it on my lap and start writing with my right hand whilst I hold the phone to my ear with my left hand, all the time hold the steering wheel straight with my knees, making the effort every now and then to look up to make sure I wasn't going to smash into the back of anything.

As I say, the caller was persistent, and this went on for far too long. Half way through writing a sentence the inside of my car lights up with a flashing blue light. I look in the wing mirror and there's an unmarked BMW behind me, flashing for me to pull over.

I pulled into a layby and the BMW pulls in behind me. Notebook, phone and pen are rapidly secreted under the passenger seat!

Well that's that then, I thought. Definite ban and a load of points coming my way. The question was for how long and how many.

A uniformed Office gets out of the unmarked BMW and walks towards me, and I open the window.

'Why do you think I pulled you over, Sir? He said.

'err.......I really don't know'' was my response.

'I believe the tint in your windows is too dark and is therefore not legal. My colleague is on his way with his meter and if the tint proves to be too dark then I'm going to have to ask you to remove it'.

and that was that. He couldn't see what I was doing as the windows were too dark. Needless to say, I ripped the tint off the windows there and then with surreptitious glee!

And for the record, that was the last time I drove like a cock.

Nick Ferrari discussing this this morning reads out a communication from a Met sgt wishing to remain anonymous: "Dick is spineless, useless and must go," was the executive summary.
It goes a bit further than that. A Met mate and I were talking last night.

A lot of people deride Dick as a political appointee - gender, sexuality - but one way or another she did start right at the bottom. So, she had a lot of internal respect for that.

Yesterday, that all evaporated.

Can confirm. Making progress up the motorway in a fleet vehicle, early hours , only vehicle on the road.
Notice a car catching up, follows at a distance (Skoda iirc). Clearly an unmarked car, probably running a check.
It then accelerates and pulls in front, rear parcel shelf sign pops up and flashes "POLICE". Sign goes down and they scoot off. Clearly a little, hello and we know who you are.

We had a few incidents like this. Often you would get checked out and a thorough (but polite/discrete) eyeballing when going past.
I assume part of it will be a curiosity on the Police as to who you are and what are you up to and why you have "no stop" plates.
In fact on one occasion they caught up with me at Fleet services and we had chat/brew. They were City police, bombed up with longs & shorts on the way back from escorting drugs for destruction.

I bet she did start at the bottom, with a strap on

On my ambulance driving course we were in an unmarked fiat stilo, covert blues fitted and we'd removed the magnetic signage as to 'make good progress' we were not to rely on anyone giving way cos it was a response car.
We had a horribly long drive into Wales and back. Every time we saw a police car our instructor (ex met police chief instructor) would get us to try and goad them into chasing us.
The best we got (from an ANPR unit) was a v sign as we sped off.

TSG doing what they do, pulling over suspicious acting motors for a stop & search. On this occasion they stop a particularly obnoxious and entitled RC3. Nothing new, stop is by the book nothing to see here ,then suddenly a game changer. Carressa Dick apologises to the entitled one for the TSG doing the jog they are paid to do. Perhaps the TSG carriers should stay in their bases the crew playing cards, drinking tea and juggling their testicles. What an absolute crock of shit, the Met is really stuffed.

According to wiki, Dick went to Oxford high school and Maxwell went to Marlborough College.

how terribly old fashioned of you, and sexist.

Some of them have boobs to juggle,

and some of them are women (who may or may not have/had testicles as well)

Entering NCC 1701 always resulted in a swift call from a jumped-up signaller in Lisburn. (ETA - Yes, it was on the system.)

As did entering the VRN of the owners of a Chinese restaurant (with unpronounceable names) on the Andytown road.
Like this restaurant in Melbourne, or perhaps it's only me and the way I read its name . . .

Curious. It may be my eyes but the car in the photos looks black to me. Metro describes it as a black mercedes. The Mercedes colour chart shows grey as unmistakably lighter than black.

This is mountain grey:

DVLA must be wrong.
I just assumed that although it looks black to us mortals, to Mercedes it is probably ‘Graphite Moonlight’ or something similarly anal.

Further to my above, she couldn't even stick them on for being improperly dressed, all wearing their headgear, totally professional so she just caves in completely

Herman Muster had a go once....

I prefer the Australian stage show version, the 'copper' on that apparently has flexible bones

but then I like lines such as these

Pirate King: "That wasn't me, it was one of the musicians."
Conductor: "Which musician?"
Pirate King: "Sorry, it wasn't a musician it was a drummer."

Yes, their hysterical 'Violet Elizabeth" act was a childish tantrum

Some reports are all side windows blacked (illegal), some only rear. Irrelevant, cops could not see who was in all seats and if armed.

Drive a black, blacked out drug dealer expensive SUV - expect to be pulled

Short, poor quality, read yellow words
What a strange YouTube channel. It was set up yesterday (8th July) and only has the one video on it yet it's the 'Global Crime Network'. Something a little dodgy there methinks.
