Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Have my own un-issued bergen that needs repair.

the gay plastic buckle broke on exercise and the only way to replace it was to cut the strap due to hardcore sticthing on the bergen.

the strapis now held together by black nasty.

anywhere i can get this fixed? preferably in the midlands region
  2. Unfortunately not in the midlands region, but

Lancashire Sports Repairs in Burnley are the dog's bollox for repairing this sort of thing.

I havent got their details to hand but i am sure if you google them, you will find them.

They are on Athletic street in Burnley. I have just had my Bergen repaired, good job and cheap really.

    Best of luck,smudge
  3. Try Timpsons the shoe repair people, honestly, they have heavy duty stitching gear and have done a few repairs for me over the years at a fraction of the cost compared to outdoor "specialists" they will possibly have replacement buckles too..
  4. Take it to the manufacturer/ where you bought it?
You would only then pay for postage?
  5. msr

    msr LE

Throw it away and use the free one (with a lifetime guarantee) from the man at Q&M.

  6. Alternatively if it's identical to Man at Q&M kit just exchange it.
