Berets

#1
Anyone know a decent supplier of berets - either online or mail order? Am after a RAMC one as despite numerous attempts at shrinking and shaping my issue one it still looks....well bloody ridiculous to be fair.

Apologies if this has been answered before but the search function on here isn't working

Thanks!

Are you blaming your inability to shape it on the beret ? (bad workman and tools come to mind )

Why not get new one from the RAMC museum. They will, I’m sure sell the cherry backing also required

I would work on your shaping skills before you fork out £30+ on beret

Thanks! That's pretty much what I've been doing Para_medic... the problem is that I did get it to shrink a bit, but there still seems to be too much material so despite the shape being kinda ok it still looks daft. Having read some posts elsewhere on here it seemed that others had got better results with non-issue berets so thought that was worth a go

Try eBay - search for "small crown beret" or "officers' beret".

If I remember correctly, there's a few specialists like:

Henry Du Bora

who do them as well.

Beware though, they tend to be a little more fragile than the issued ones and you need to be a bit more gentle with the shaping.

Henry Dubora's. They've got a website and they in Aldershot, not far from the train station. If you're at Keogh then it's not that far at all. Innit!
