After a very difficult end to last year, Miss Fang is going up Ben Nevis on the 1st of September to raise money for SANDS, with her little brother and a couple of friends.

I hope to be going too but knee is not playing at moment so may just have to organise maps, kit, training, etc.

Please feel free to sponser her at https://www.justgiving.com/Megan-Johnny-Finlay-Iain

You're right, as an ex-officer, I know nothing about maps and organising things!

Having seen the forecast for the morn, almost glad I'm not going.

I can see Cairngorm from where I am just now & sea level looks good!

  6. If it was next weekend I'd have popped along.

FF looks like a good event raised fund for a special cause.

  9. Heard it!

I was supposed to be at the H4H Queens Diamond Jubilee beacon event atop the Ben - had to drop out for unavoidable family reasons - have not heard the last of it and see no reason why you should!

Oh, and good luck to her!

  10. I'd lend you my daughter, she did the three peaks, a month or so, ago. You would still get lost though :)

Decided discretion was the better part of valour and let the youngsters go ahead without me. (though for some reason, they were an hour slower than my time last year!)
Alledgedly Miss Fang, Master Fang at the summit!
