Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I see old BG has teamed up with Gerber to produce some pretty nifty looking survival kit.

All of it seems to be aimed at the weekend adventurer / survivalist type person in that all of the kit has dayglo orange somewhere in its construction.

  2. Something that you can probably put together yourself for a fraction of the price.
  3. Not unless you can make your own sheath knife, parang, multitool etc ;)

Maybe not the best video to link too.
  4. Very much like the old survival tin you had to make up.

  5. Its only a mini gerber tool not exactly a parang :)
  6. Yes but thats not in the survival kit?
  7. The multi tool in the survival kit retails at about £24
  8. You're not hearing me are you?

What I mean is that you can probably put together your own kit, with the same contents, for less. Granted, you may have another multi-tool instead of the Gerber one.
  9. I hear what you're saying.

What I'm not saying is "Go out and buy this its amazing"

What I am saying is "Oh look,BG has his own product range, it may be of interest to people who buy kit, like knives and stuff."
  10. Here's a link to the Bacon Grylls playthings on Heinnie Haynes - if you must LINK
  11. Gotcha. The Parang looks ok, shame about the colour.
  12. I imagine the day glo orange is so you can find it in the wilds of Milton Keynes.
  13. There are a couple of places in MK where a Parang would come in handy!
