Chris Hoy would be a safe bet for his sheer outstanding triple Gold, however my money is on Nicole Cooke as she is the first lady cyclist to win the World Cycling Championships as well as the 1st Road Race at Beijing.


Did I mention that she was Welsh and very possibly the fittest lady to hail from the Vale of Glamorgan.

Im a big lewis hamilton fan and i am dreading the GP tomorow, but it has to be Chris Hoy, he has done something amazing by winning 3 gold medals and 90% is under his own physical ability and not engines etc,,,,

Couldn't agree more, a "nothing" world-champion in a corrupt, pointless sport. I wonder how much it cost McLaren to pay the German off to let him past? Maybe an invite to Mosley's next, alleged, Nazi orgy??

Thank u i'm so fed up off hearing about how Hamilton "won" the championship. It was awful to see Massa in tears on the podium and can i add i'm not a ferrari fan, for me no team has ever replaced Jordan.

I've got no sympathy for any of them. I'm damn sure Massa has been the receipient of "good fortune" throughout the season. They know what they are getting into when they join the sport.

It just makes me vomit when these people are lauded as superstars, they drive round a track, barely being allowed to overtake and it's classed as sport!!

It will be a travesty if Hamilton wing BBC SPoTY. The Olympians have made sacrifices for 4 years, way beyond anything he has done. How would he get on in a sh*t car? Jenson Button was hailed as "the next best thing" a few years ago. He couldn't get a ride for a "good" team and look what happened to him.

IMO, Hamilton is an average driver in a top car and nothing else and the sooner this so called sport is wiped off the face of the planet the better!!
