will it be 'a bit gay' like most of the other batman series is? even with Jack Nicholson in it - he was pretty cool as the joker I admit?

do you work in a gay cinema?

no i've not seen Batman Rims or Begins sorry - is that with Clooney?
Batman Begins was the last Batman film, with Christian Bale starring again. It p1sses all ovr the original Batman films, and takes Batman back to his original cartoon style. Very dark etc. No "pow" "thwack" etc pish in the new films!

ah ok - might be ok then. i'll youtube that one when i get a minute. maybe did out the DVD if I enjoy the clips.
Iron Man was bloody fantastic and shows the difference when real comic companies dramatise their own strips - rather than turning them into Disney family capers. I think they have re-done Hulk as well.

2000AD Judge Dredd, Chopper ABC Warriors etc could be re-done I think and make the Staaaalone farce look the wet tripe it is even if some of the (UK made) props weren't too bad.
I'd like to see a film with the ABC warrriors in it! That would be quality!

"Waaaaaarrrrrr!!"
I know they made a "Hammerstienesque" character for the 2000AD film. But I'd rather have a film with just the ABC warriors in it, and more of them than just one. It was a great comic strip.

I was about to Flame you for daring to suggest that Batman Begins was a bit gay...until I read this Post. You obviously know you're 2000AD, young man.

What made Stallone's Dredd so fcuking heartbreaking to watch was that the LOOK of the movie was perfect. I don't think he could have doen a better job, with the technology available, in depicting the Judges, MC1, the Angel Gang and the ABC Warrior. 8)

Unfortunately, the script and most of the acting was sh1te.

Even Stallone admits that Judge Dredd was the film he's most disappointed in...and this is from the man who made Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot! 8O

Actually, Bale would make a good young(ish)Dredd, say about the time of the Apocolypse War... 8)

Now that has to be my all-time fave superhero film. Forget Superman/Spiderman/X-Men/Punisher/Iron Man, this is head and shoulders above them all.

I'm normally a harsh reviewer but i'm unhesitantly giving it 10 out of 10. I'll admit to some bias though as Batman is my fave comic book character. I didn't think BB could be surpassed but Chris Nolan has pulled it off. While the previous film was about Batman's origins, this is a more morally ambiguous Batman with the central theme that Batman and the Joker are merely different sides of the same coin. Very dark, very morbid, very intense and very violent. In fact young kids might get a bit spooked, especially by Heath Ledger's Joker who is truly magnificent.

The 3D scenes were awesome as well. This aint the type of film you want to watch as a scratchy print on a tiny screen at your local multiplex. Get yourself along to an IMAX itheatre if you can - believe me, it's worth the time and expense.

It definitely lives up to the hype and more than makes up for the risible fourth Indiana Jones film. Best movie so far this year, here's hoping for a third film!
