Banking Bail-out at MOD Budget prices

The news was slipped out today in between details of the banking firesale that the Government will be slipping another 30+ Billion into the banks.

As this is not far off the yearly defence budget should we all be a bit worried?

Did anyone notice? The BBC tried their best not to with stories about The Lisbon Treaty and what the Conservative reaction might be...

Discuss (or disgust)!
Lovely isn't it.

Extra money for the Army Budget can't be found (despite us you know, being in a long term engagment of strategic importance) yet gordo the grate and pals can find £30 Billion to spunk up the wall on what (used to be) a private company.
Even better… Gordon the Moron's bank bailout…

Anyone seen how much the shares have dropped in value since he 'saved' the banks?
