Ban On Sleeping Near Human Waste Questioned

#1
From the Associated Press.

The City of Las Vegas passed a controversial new law declaring it a misdemeanor knowingly to sleep within 500 feet of urine or feces unless the discharge of such waste is "made in an appropriate sanitary facility."

The City is considering revising this ordinance to shorten the radius of criminal liability between the sleeper and the waste. Apparently, as the law now stands it puts in jeopardy of prosecution people who couldn't have known of the presence of remote feces.

What a stupid law!

What happens if a person in cell A sh1ts on the floor or wipes it on the walls do they have to move all the prisoners till it is cleaned?

Some one cannot see further then the end of their nose.

And (closer to home) babies shit in the night. Even if one can describe a nappy as an "appropriate sanitary facility" ....... the contents can seep out.

........ or have I missed something?

I also thought of that latter when the stupidity of this began to set home.

What about drunk pissing in the street and is apprehended by cops. Must they wake every one around as to let them sleep would mean they are letting people commit an offence.

Does this mean you cannot be in an OP for long hours using plastic bags and bottles?

Is this a clever ploy to get rid of homeless/vagrants so they don't offend the tourists?

This is "Lost Wages", were talking about here, T_T. The tourists eventually become homless vagrants.
The whole town is a cesspool, and therefore (by that law), should be illegal.
