Lawley says that 60,000 shops in Britain will offer Age Verification cards (based on shopkeeper’s assessment), which should be on offer before April.
That's the whole thing rendered pointless right from the off: Look old enough: the card is standard cost. Fail the 'age assessment' & pay somewhat more...

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere. I couldn’t find anything, but there seems to be a rather pressing matter on the horizon.
Coming in from April the 19th you’ll only be able to view gentleman’s relaxation sites if you’re verified.
Good grief. I may have to go back to searching hedgerows.

Porn sites ‘will require proof of age from April 2019’: here’s how it’ll work | Metro News
Ahh, hedge porn... happy memories now of finding a cardboard box full of Playbirds, Whitehouse, Lovebirds, Rustler. Mum wasn't so happy when she found them at the back of my wardrobe, the sight of Mary Millington shoving a bottle up her hairy cunt didn't bring out the inner lesbian in her.

...a scan of a driving licence or a credit card and CVV number would be OK.’
What could possibly go wrong... might as well pop your full bank account/s details in to easily obtain double strength verification.

Wasn't there a 'dating' site for the discerning older gentleman of means and ladies of negotiable affection that had all its membership details stolen a while back? Hamilton, or Madison.

What could possibly go wrong?

Does this sort of thing infringe my human rights? Article 8 of The Human Rights Act says;
Snip - "This right means that the media and others can be prevented from interfering in your life. It also means that personal information about you (including official records, photographs, letters, diaries and medical records) should be kept securely and not shared without your permission, except in certain circumstances."
