Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. British Armed Forces Federation launched today, you can join now at

The cost is just £30 for the first year, become one of the first members of BAFF and you get:

    1. The chance to be in at the beginning and setting the agenda in an organisation which will become increasingly influential.

    2. Access to free legal and claims advice helplines, provided pro bono by a first rate legal firm.

    3. The benefit of collective advocacy.
  2. Oh, shall I?? :p
  3. I'm already a member and I would advise anyone that is serving to do the same. It's about time we had a federation to watch our backs.

  4. Imagine the scene

COs office, interview without tea and biscuits

'Sir, with all due respect to your rank and position,
but you cant talk to me in that tone of voice - and would you mind repeating that phrase to my Union Rep?' :x

As an ex soldier, what are the benefits to me of joining BAFF :?
  6. Its not a union. Check out the website it quite clearly lays out what BAFF is about.
  7. :? Dont have a spare £30 to join
  8. What Legal Standing does BAFF have? Can you like the Police Federation have a Fed Rep at a CO's interview for example?
  9. my thoughts Mike

sorry - not a union, a federation! - just like the Plod

sorry - not a stike, a withdrawl of labour / work to rule!

can you honestly seeing the 'establishment' allowinig the federation enough room to breathe??
