My father was a Colonel in the Army a few moons ago now and to celebrate his 65th birthday we are having a new service dress made up for him, but we dont know where the badges go on the arms, can anyone help with which arm and where an all arms commando's badge goes on please?

Surely, even if you have forgotten something so basic after seeing him in uniform for many years, you will have photographs that show such details.

Why go to the trouble? What's he going to do with it.

Please don't say he's disabled and you're going to 'dress him up', before parading him in front of a crowd going 'ahhhh'. If you do can you post photos please?

It's a WAH! Who has a father who was a "Colonel in the Army"? Anyone in that position would be able to speak proper pad speak.
