Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi new to site - inherited loads of stuff recently including an unusual St george & dragon badge - looks military and possibly from a cap - St george has a slightly oriental look to him ? or lookls that way to me ! hopefully two pictures attached - just wanting an idea of what it is. Cheers badge2 001.jpg badge2 002.jpg

Always good to have some sort of scale, a coin next to the badge for example.
  3. St George is a popular figure in the near east, revered by all three main religions there. It was chosen for the Palestine Volunteer Force for that reason, but their badges that I can find are different to yours.

It could also be a pilgrim's badge!
