Backing colour of rank badges for no2 FAD

Hi,

I've been having trouble getting my uniform updated (to one that fits), as I'm on a navy station. However, after a long wait it's here. I haven't been able to get rank badges though. So I ordered them from messdress.com

And I'm getting a tailor to put them on for me. These are the ones I ordered :http://www.messdress.com/shop/badges/service-dress-badges/service-dress-cpl-stripes-743872.html

They look brown on the internet, however they're more of a green. I'm a little worried these are the wrong ones, as they don't match the colour of the FAD's.

I've taken a picture (excuse the poor lighting), but you can see there's a colour difference (even though my picutre looks brown too, they are really more green). Are all the new badges for no 2's greeny brown rather than just brown? Or should I order another set from somewhere else?

So where is it?

How odd, didn't upload

The green ones are for the old pattern No2 dress. The FAD pattern stripes are indeed brown and a very similar shade to the jacket.

New type.

Wow - thats new - so a Corporal with the new pattern is equivalent to a Sergeant with the old pattern ?

Bloody Messdress.com.

Great for cheap ribbon, but shite for military knowhow. It's ran largely by Eastern European staff - hence they are not going to be the most knowledgable when it comes to the vast array of British Military uniform accessories and what-not.

Try Snaith (google their number) and see if they'll do you a next-day - or Les Cooke at Arborfield (Second-to-none Tailoring).

If all else fails, just go with it, and have a bottle of port and an extra fiver on standby. In case some jobsworth chopper notices, port for the Razzman, Fiver for the RBL pot.

Some Corps and Regts have different colour surround: Int Corps has a green border.

I had the same issue, and I took the thing to a military tailor. No-one has noticed yet so I'm keeping schtum.
