    Please excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering:

    What happens to a woman if/when she becomes pregnant in the Army? Does she have to leave service? Is she given maternity leave? Can she come back and assume her normal role?

    Not looking to spark a sexist/gender/workplace debate, though do feel free, just interested in what the "norm" is.

  2. they have there child then go back to their job, when I worked at Abingdon we had a couple of single parent mums who when called to go on tour packed their kids off to grandparents or had grandparents living in MQ's with them.

    9 months paid maternity leave I think.
