About three weeks to realise someone is missing apparently
Soldiers will only be posted AWOL if it is noticed they are missing, as I had to explain to a serving SNCO yesterday, it's quite easy for a soldier to not be properly tracked especially when they are posted.Bernard Mongan or as we called him Brian was my friend, I can verify this is several ways if you need me to. I just want to make sense of this I’m devastated that something like this could have happened.
I presume there will be a board of inquiry, of which nothing will come out of it.I just find it so hard to believe that nobody looked for him or missed him in all this time? What will the next steps be
