Might seem a little odd but the world has turned on its head. People used to join the army to see the world.
Where aircraft techs are concerned you now leave the army to see the world.
Even in the recession there is still a demand for helicopter engineers.
Over the last 20 years I have done time in UK, Holland, Germany, Norway,
Greece, Ireland, Tanzania, Antigua, HongKong and Canada. Managed to avoid the hot and sandy as well as Nigeria.
Enjoy your time in the army its a great training ground and there are many employers who see the line ex-military as extra points at interview. If you decide to stay in aircraft after you come out it will pay the bills till you retire (subject to standard terms and conditions and subject to change!!!!).
