AU exposed.

After their 'efforts' in Cote D'Ivoire, which yielded nothing, can they do any better in Libya? In Cote D'Ivoire ,they did not advocate military action, and went home. What place does the AU have-if any-in African politics, apart from being a stage for 'so called' African Big Men?

They are way of using up all that spare money that is laying around from foreign aid and UN assistance etc etc.

Plus of course it enables politicians to say "Oh but this is a problem for the locals to sort out, look we have helped the AU to get involved" when it comes to nastiness in non-oil producing places.
