A lot of the hotels down here are fully booked up for the rest of the year, but that could change
as overseas holidays are opening up again,
A lot of people have moved down to Cornwall, the quiet winters are now a thing of the past.
I don't get people who travel to places like Cornwall and then shop at Asda etc... I'll spend my money at the local butcher and fishmonger than a huge multinational company.

A couple of views from Hastings Pier looking towards Eastbourne last week, overcast on Friday and sunset with a sun dog on Sunday.

Coincidentally I was on a pier yesterday too. It was the start point of a 32 mile coastal ultra marathon from Penarth Pier to Ogmore-on-Sea; it was a brilliant day. The weather was perfect, the women were pretty, and I didn't get lost.

I'm just wading my way through the thousands of images I took.

These are from the registration...

Photography top tip.

Don't take photos like most people do, at head height. Use different angles and make your photos look different from everyone else's.

Show people old things, but in new ways.

I think that's technically known in the trade as "upskirting" :)

The Red Arrows performed over the Isle of Wight Festival this afternoon. My pics aren't as good as joey88's, but the aircraft were visible from my house in Arreton.

In one manoevre, two Hawks created a heart, and then a third aircraft - seen approaching from the right -provided the arrow. Another shot shows Hawks quite low over Arreton Down.

They practise that heart thing, time and time again over my place. Always spectacular and I never get bored with looking up when they fly over.

Just had a massive endurance editing event; job finished though.

Here's a couple more of the ones that caught my eye...

I think it's her legs, not No 190...

"Run the Vale Coastal ultra marathon", they said. "It'll be fun", they said.

It's not often you see them with their hair down. It's that rare, Wor Lass had an idea that our running neighbour was having an affair because she started running - out of the blue - all the time, with her hair down.

I think it ought to be encouraged.

Look at the clip of these, but wait till they see me...

I just make people happy.
