Yonks ago (before Victorian times I think) Cats were occasionally sealed under the floorboards of new houses, as a blood sacrifice to ward off evil spirits. What year? That was our 'go to' beach when I used to visit our lads in Salalah '75-'77. I'd drive over the hill from Thamrait for the weekend, well, Friday was the local equivalent of a weekend.
