Those block houses are they sinking or getting buried by the stones.
Over our way, there’s a place called Shingle Street. They built the block houses and bunkers on the beach, these are sinking into the shingle.

A mix of both, the erosion varys across the length of the beach

Some of the deer in the field opposite the house. These were all taken from the open front upstairs room window.

Nah. Probably a good thing too as most of the neighbours would be in the sights before the deer.
Damn, I was almost on my way up there for some free meat and skulls.

I find I didn't get onto the moor once last year, due to being busy with the bombs. Took the midget next-door with me to go and nosy around Willsworthy range and prod another memory from when my old man dragged me up there as a nipper...

It's certainly green. Lucas should stop whinging.

Found some old tin workings...

The midget next-door, famous for balking at the prospect of a crossing, despite being told in advance it will involve them, was offered stepping stones...

"Sod that - I'll doff shoes and wade. Faaaaaark! It's cold!! And [ultimately] deeper than I thought!"
Dartmoor_20200716_06.jpg

"Oh, look - stepping stones. I'll just use them instead." Women!!

Doubtless a sight to bring back some cold, wet, shivery memories for some...

The northernmost range. Points out to 150m (although 150m is overgrown and presumably disused). Moving/pop-up targets available.

The 100m point. Far more interesting than the points on the range on the east side of Lulworth Ranges us spotty Spaceys got taken every few weeks to shoot over.

I guess they don't let spotty Spacey's shoot this range as those plank facings at the butts were devoid of bullet strikes or other damage.

Seems a bit excessive for a few sheets of plywood shaped like a Russian soldier (or are the Fig.11s politically correct these days?). Are they expecting Vlad' to bomb it?
