A couple weeks ago, our young dogs chewed the remote for the stereo. As young dogs do. No big deal, found a new one on eBay for $25. Duly ordered, arrived on Friday and Robert's your father's brother. I get home today to this.

FFS :)

Cover it in chilli paste and leave lying around for them.

Cover it in chilli paste and leave lying around for them.

Not a guaranteed winner. Many years ago, my father tried to correct a tendency of our collie to steal food. He made up a sandwich containing a thick coating of English mustard, large dollops of powdered black and hot chilli pepper, curry powder and other assorted goodies which I can't now remember after 65 years.

He left it on the kitchen table, then we retired to outside the glazed kitchen door. Lassie the collie padded into the kitchen, looked around, waited a couple of seconds and then jumped up with her paws against the table edge.

She sneaked her head forward, grabbed the sandwich and started to eat it. She shuddered violently, shook her head several times, dropped the sandwich and had a fit of coughing.

Then she ate the rest of the sandwich.

The last of the trio ready for its first solo.

Strangely, this is the third brood out of this nest since Spring. My granny would've said that was a sign of a hard Winter this year.

Out for a drive today with MrsHogg, we drove through a seaside town we haven't visited for years and spotted this nice little sculpture. ;)
