@Kirkz If you're suffering from cystitis and it's recurrent you might want to try a regular daily dose of D-Mannose, it prevents the bacteria from attaching to the bladder.
Next time you report sick remember your small pack, OK? B disposal and excused boots.

What you might refer to as over engineered is because the drystone wall is actually a very well designed item for which even a really skilled builder would only manage a couple of yards per day.
That does not even allow for the time spent previously deciding which stones to use for coping (caps), the whole idea being that water is made to run/drip off in such a way that it does not actually contribute to the deterioration of the stones beneath.
I acknowledge that and it is probable that it was sa much a practical decision related to asset longevity. I was comparing it with the field boundary walls on the farms on the slopes, which are constructed from the same stone. The "Mourne Wall" is a bit Gucci (but not that much) in comparison in terms of size and finish. All of them are different from dry stone walls you might find elsewhere, such as those in the West of Ireland as they are all products of a different geology.

I think you will find the same principles involving the building of real drystone walls everywhere.

It's not cystitis, I just drink gallons of coffee and everytime I see running water I run to the loo.

I have heard it said that it is "over-engineered" as a measure to alleviate local unemployment at the time of construction.
Yeh, I’ve seen that as well, particularly the pimple like “shelters” at the top of some of the peaks.

What is strange given the stated purpose of the wall is the sheep sized bespoke holes in the wall in many places. Maybe a later “add on”?

I thought that as well. That seems pretty well gunned up.

Was that tooled up variant an escort or ground attack attack aircraft?

Wiki is a bit vague on a variant matching the picture.

We cut down a dead beech tree this morning, for safety's sake I put a wire on it so it fell in the right place.

It will end up in here. Remember the nights start drawing in in 4 weeks time.

Open them in a photo editor and Save As... then go into the dialogue settings. Find the checkbox/option to remove the rotation EXIF data.
Let’s pretend that, for argument’s sake, I was, oh, I don’t know, a complete computer biff...

What device are you using?
I’m using an iPhone... I can manage that, just as soon as someone mentions EXIF data, I get a little less... conversant with my options.

if you are taking them on a phone then what I do is edit the photo and reduce the size of it a teeny bit by cropping it - that works, otherwise you end up with photos on their side which is whats happened to you
Perfect, I hadn’t thought of that.

Thank you gentlemen.
