The River Severn has broken its banks. Level is down from its peak but still pretty high.

wear a pair of leather motorcycles gloves when handling him he will soon get fed up when he gets no reaction
My cat soon cottoned on to that. He went for the legs and feet rather than the hands.

Morning All,
Wandering aimlessly around the back streets of Old Delhi today killing time. Really surprised to see these amongst the usual crap.
Horse looked healthy and well looked after(but what do I know about hossies). Apparently it pulls the 2 carts at festivals/weddings etc,.

Right, then. Went back to KAB Moltke today and did a bit more exploring. Finally found some information about the "double pit" arrangement. Contrary to previous thought, the earlier post on this installation where it referred to No.3 Mount and No.4 Mount is actually all No.4 Mount. There's a "temporary" pit for each of the towed 155mm French guns that were put in whilst the intended, more modern naval 150mm guns in turrets were sourced (they never arrived) and the second pit adjacent to the 155mm pit with the ammunition lifts and other apertures in the periphery was built ready for the turrets, the intention being to remove the 155mm guns when the turrets were in place and fill their pits in. I've corrected the earlier post.

The ringstand for M2 (just behind me in the photo above), looking across to Stützpunkt Etacquerel (2x Jägerstand 105mm gun casemates - one with a 6-loophole MG34 turret on top, 600mm searchlight bunker incorporating an MG34 pillbox guarding the land approach and a two-position 50mm festungsgranatwerfer ringstand and personnel shelter). This ringstand would have offered protection from fire to a 2-man crew with an MG34:-
