We have Hummingbirds come to our feeders every year. These are a couple from last year, they usually return in May around the 13th - 15th. I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

The top photo is one of the male, the middle one is the female and the bottom one is the male again. Come September when their chicks have flown the nest, they too will come to the feeders. The parents though become aggressive towards their young and will try driving them off, I guess it's a case of you're on your own now kid.

We went 'up the jungle' today, so Mrs retread2 could feed the fish - it's a Buddhist thing, apparently.

And today's pointless sign is.... well, if it means No riding dogs on the bus, I suppose it makes sense...otherwise....

if you want to get rid of that old lifeboat, my grandchildren could do with it in my garden !!, its dirty now so you can have a new one !!

Blue is a permissive sign, so you are, in fact, allowed to ride a dog on the bus.

One hopes that it means ride as in use as a form of transport and not the other meaning...
