ARRSE suffered a major database crash last night that has resulted in some user data being corrupted. This includes usernames and passwords which is why some users are currently experiencing difficulties logging in.

Good CO has been on the case most of the day concentrating initially on getting the site back online. Clearly this has been achieved!

The next stage is to repair user data and this process is currently in hand. Not sure of the timescale yet other than to say - as quickly as possible!

Humorous thread:

Good CO currently working on our development server with a 36 hour old version of the database. As always when working with the massive ARRSE db it is proving very slow so unlikely to be resolved tonight.
