Army Veterans Facing murder charges over Bloody Sunday within two weeks

Who gives a shit about their opinion? They were criminals.
they, avd more importantly, a fair percentage of ‘their’ population, regraded it as a war.
please pay attention, history in NI didn't start in August 1969

Since when did the British state care what criminals or their supporters called their activities?

When did that say the IRA were a legal armed force by the British?

Not that its got anything to do with bloody sunday or the killings in Northern Ireland.

well, this might be a leap for you stacker, but it was the IRA that the British signed a peace treaty with in 1921, one of the main signatories was a certain Micheal Collins who had fought the British to a standstill and the negotiating table. Hmmm, the British treating the IRA as a legitimate organisation by the sound of it.

now, I know this might be hard for you, but what happened from June 1969 is directly linked to the 1921 Treaty. Moving smartly onwards, the GFA and once more, it’s the British signing deals with the people who’ve been fighting it.

Great, where did it say they were a legal armed force?

At the GFA the British state signed a deal with criminals, they certainly weren't recognized as an army.

"The final batch of prisoners was released on 28 July. A total of 428 pro-British Loyalist and pro-Irish Republican guerrillas were released early under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement"

Nope, no reference to criminals.

Does the UK put many non-criminals into prison ?

Nope, no reference to criminals.
From the Belfast Agreement

PRISONERS 1. Both Governments will put in place mechanisms to provide for an accelerated programme for the release of prisoners, including transferred prisoners, convicted of scheduled offences in Northern Ireland or, in the case of those sentenced outside Northern Ireland, similar offences (referred to hereafter as qualifying prisoners).

It does not take the brains of a Bishop to understand that term relates to convicted criminals.

Actually we did. There was an on-going communication between the developing parties.
