Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming

For the interested, BBC Scotland's, "Pipeline," programme on Sat. 10 May was devoted to this establishment. It can be heard again Clicky here for the next week.

[Anorak]As an aside, devotees of GMF and McAuslan might be interested that the pibroch, "Too long in this Condition," alluded to in McAuslan in the Rough (pp 40) can be heard at about 44 minutes.[/Anorak]

[Anorak]Once upon a time, the presenter had an Army number... fairly certain he won the TA open individual competition during the 1980s.[/Anorak]

Amusing is that the School lies within one of those "20mph when the lights flash, beware children crossing" zones. Courtesy of the school across the road, obviously.
