  1. Hi chaps
I was wondering if any of you could assist me. I am researching my great uncles WW1 service and a search on the WW1 casulty list shows him enlisting in Stamford Hill, North London. I know of the TA drill hall in Tottenham, but I have never heard of any army establishments in the Stamford Hill area. Can anyone assist me ?

    Regards

    Tony

  2. I do believe that in those days the army took its recruiting far and wide in the church halls and village halls of the uk, so he may well have signed up in a pub, wi hall, scout hut....anything.
