For those who may not be aware every year there's a foot race in the Sahara desert - the Marathon Des Sables.

To my astonishment every year one or two Forces teams enter.

London Marathon = 26.2 miles - city streets
Marathon des Sables = 151 miles - sand, gravel, erg,reg and hamada....

In March 2009 a TA nurse is running it for Help for Heroes - LINKY

  2. I say folks have a look at this. She's training realy hard and needs support.

  3. I have the utmost respect for anyone who takes part in this. A good mate of mine did it and he said it was the experience of a lifetime. Best of luck to Zayne.

If she bumps into a mad 3rd Tankie when she's there tell her to keep her hands to herself.

Left_Markers only small (and old) and he needs all the energy he has for getting to the end.

  6. A mate of mine did it and the experience nearly ended his lifetime.

  7. Hows she get a place? Last time I checked there was a 4 year waiting list.....
