Army-Navy Rugby....Train Disruptions

#1
Due to essential engineering work taking place place between Clapham Junction and Richmond and Clapham Junction and Kew Bridge on the evening of Saturday 07 May buses will replace trains between the above stations from approximately 2100 hours until close of service. In addition further engineering work is also taking place between Winchester and Eastleigh where buses will also replace trains, with the exception of the hourly Weymouth to London Waterloo services which will be diverted adding an additional 45 minutes to journey times.

Anyone travelling to Twickenham for the Army v Navy rugby match is strongly advised to review their travel arrangements in light of the above. If travelling from Twickenham to London Waterloo after the match you are advised to be at the station no later than 2000 hours in order to catch the last through train to London Waterloo before commencement of the replacement bus service. For further information and journey details please phone National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50
Have a good one!

That explains why pubs were so quiet in/around Twickenham. Must have got the last train out.

For those not in the know Army 41 Navy 15.

Penultimate Army try scored when Navy full back and left winger took each other out when going for the same ball. I know that shouting 'Mine!' in our line of work has other connatations, but surely on a rugby pitch.......
