is there any point joining up if they are planning to cut the army of 16k soldiers? or would the new recruits miss the redundancys? Do we kno which parts are going to be affected and which are not?

They're initially looking at new recruits that can't spell correctly and don't know how to punctuate sentences. Bearing that in mind then it looks like you'll be one of the first to go.

Costs a lot of money to recruit people and get them through basic. You're cheap labour after it too, so you'll be avoiding the cuts for some time. Unless you turn out to be useless or are in a trade they decide to get rid of or something. You'll be fine!

Yeah i kind of guessed that, but the cuts are going on until 2015 so there is a chance of it still happening. I might looking into joining in 2013-2014 then lol.

unless your identified as unsuitable for service the chances of someone wiht less than 5 years in getting booted are pretty slim
