Army Content Management System

Is any one else finding the Army Content Management System page wizzards a bit to restrictive.

Using the editor allows you to enter HTML and will display the result but this gets stripped out once you save the work and return to the page being edited.

Also it seems strange that we are not given access to the editor functions or allowed to use the HTML information that is provided in detail in the help system.

I can understand having to cater for people whose IT skills are not great and are happy with using the wizzards to produce content but what about people who know how to write content or would like to learn?

I think you are missing the point of a CMS...

That is exactly why we have the ACMS and why it is restrictive in its nature. We are catering for the masses, the majority of which do not have the technical ability to achieve the same standards of wed page design that the ACMS easily provides.

We are pretty flexible bunch here at ArmyNET, as is the ACMS if we poke it from this end, so please get in touch if there is something specific that you are trying to do and currently can't.
