Goes with the job Daz. If you wanted the gong you should have gone for as commission.

Nice to see a full screw getting an MBE.

Bollux!! Her Majesty overlooked me again! I'll bet it's those cnuts in the MoD who put the kibosh on my recommendation.

as i just put in another topic, its all outdated rubbish.
what does it all actually mean? your the same as adelle and clare balding, great stuff.

Absoulute nonsence the lot of it.

why would i be bothered about missing out on an award that doesnt mean anything?
But you are getting animated about the subject on at least 2 threads.

Congratulations to all members of the Royal Corps who received honours, but especially to Lt Col Jacqui Allan on her thoroughly well-deserved QVRM. Well done Ma'am!

Talking about absolute nonsence (sic) does being a superdriver make you better or worse than a Masterdriver or just the same as anyone else who has to drive as part of their normal life?

An honest question from a complete outsider: how does a Corporal in a Corps receives an MBE ? how often does that happen ?

Thank you for contributing to my BA-related edumacation

It might be a "pointless award" to you, but to the recipient and his or her family it means a great deal. Whilst often unsought, it is recognition of doing more, going further and, in many cases, achieving more than the average person. I take it you don't have any post-nominals?

Congratulations to all concerned - and to the denigrators of the awards system, most of the guys I knew who received recognition thoroughly deserved the accolade. I recall my old Bn were always pleased when members of the regiment were recognized - long may it continue
