Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. "Armed Forces Day Saturday 25 June 2011. The day is an annual opportunity for the nation to Show Your Support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, and from veterans to cadets". About Armed Forces Day

They say we can "attend an event, organise an event or a Party" and even buy and fly a Flag. Apparently the focus for this year is on Edinburgh. 58 events already organised. Lots of people out on Ops, they've even stuck a link up. Ministry of Defence | Defence News | In Depth

Most towns we visited last year seemed to ignore this, or organised nowt. Anyone been to, or organised one of these events?
