Armed Forces Day 2010

#1
Where are you going for Armed Forces Day? Or are you not attending ... mutter, mutter, moan ...don't need this sh!t etc?

I'm going over to Chatham for the dockyard event again this year. Anyone planning on going?

I also have three spare tickets if anyone needs free entry ... just have to limp a bit and pretend to be a war pensioner ... unless you already are of course!

Chatham was a good day out last year but it was the national event. Guess it won't be quite as busy or well attended.

Psst! Same here, but don't tell Tropper. That's if I can persuade my wife to go. I'll also have my two future organ donors with me.

Only kidding Trop.

The 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards, who were the Babaji BG on Op Herrick 11, will march from Wellington Barracks to Horse Guards Parade, via Birdcage Walk, at 1030hrs on Thu 24 Jun 10. A wreath will be laid at The Guards Memorial on Horse Guards Parade to commemorate the 5 members of the Battalion who fell during the tour.
Please come along and support the lads (along with the Japanese and American tourists).

Looks like I may be attending on my own or with the kids.
Mrs. Miner is sorting out her friends Hen party, whilst I look after the brats.
So do I either,
a, Dump the kids at my parents and attend on my own, picking the kids up later on my way home.
or
b, Take the kids with me, navigating my way around the crowds pushing their twin cab pram. And have to feed/change them at regular intervals?

Decisions, decisions.
