Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. It seems to be causing a bit of a stink in the media, and now the Danish authorities are even investigating possible 'war crimes'.

Saw the film when it was on More4. It was bloody good.

The 'war crime' that got everyone back home in a hissy fit involved the Danes searching Taliban dead after a successful platoon attack, which was seen as a 'desecration' of the Terry bodies.

  4. it is a good movie. the struggle of doing what you do and then trying to translate that for back home. Danes did good.

  5. Yes it did, although some of the dialogue was in English (and terms such as 'sangar', 'contact' and 'IED' peppered the Danish dialogue).

There was also a scene where some of the off-duty soldiers were watching hard-core grot on a portable DVD player. Good lads.
