Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The thousands of crew of HMS Ark Royal must be really miffed that she is going to be scrapped/sold off. What will be done wth that crew? Any chance of a coup or mutiny?

If PM Cameron tried to address the crew, might he get a few caps thrown at hum, a la Invergordon II?

  2. Don't talk bollocks. They're all being thru-drafted to Lusty.
  3. What is Lusty?
  4. Wah!

But on the off-chance that you're actually being serious HMS Illustrious, aka. Lusty.
  5. No. ...............

  6. You need more than 4 for a mutiny so thats the Royal Navy out.
  7. You couldn't rely on the ship's cat to bring up the numbers either.
  8. how long will it be before the Argies invade the falklands then when we have no harriers?
yea we have the Troop carriers but i think the Ark Royal with Harriers should of stayed
  9. You won't hear a murmur from them just as long as you don't take their ipods.
  10. But we have MPA now with Typhoon. Surely the RAF will come to our defence in a time of national crisis?

As long as it is 9-5, Tue through Thu and not raining, of course (Falklands not being an Op tour so normal rules apply?) :D

And the damn things aren't grounded ...
  11. You forget Wednesday is 'sports and adventurous training day', it is not an RAF working day. You remember 'raining' but you forgot to mention: 'too hot'; 'too cold'; 'too windy'; 'too dark'; 'too high'; 'too low'; 'too near'; 'too far'; 'too light'; 'too difficult', amongst other reasons for not flying in support of..........

I worked out that if there was threat to the overseas dependancies who also happen to be the tax havens where the politicians and tory donors keep their money then the navy cuts would soon be rapidly reversed like in 82.

dogs of war from cuba sort of thing :)

I have a friend who does the mod desk at the national audit office and have got him to ask if they can report the sdr as being a bad use of taxpayers money. he's allready in trouble for telling the procurement lot in bristol that they were cr@p!

actually if the guys in blue took up arms and marched on parliament there's no one left to stop them as the army is all up north and the police overtime bill wouldnt be approved :)
