Are we there yet

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just finished watching Blair Witch, the comment "Are we there yet"? and "how far"? "Not far just over the hill" as they track through the woods how many times have you heard that before?
  2. I'm an Air Cadet so it's said more than often. Admittedly i'm a god at nav but when everyone else is in charge something gets fcuk-ed up.

Hmmmm, I sense a lack of honesty/self-knowledge here.

On the other hand, I freely admit encouraging one of my Toms on a CFT - on a route I did not know in Otterburn at 0700 one Jan morning - using the phrase, "Not far to the top now" as we hit a succession of false crests. After about 5 of these crests, he turned and invited me to go away in fairly strong terms. Given the look on his face, I took his advice.

That said, I have never been lost but I have, on occasion, not known exactly where I am.
  4. Yeah how is it map reading is so easy till its your turn :?
