Are the FAA still recruiting/operating?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. This is just a curiousity question - I'm serving and am not looking to transfer to the FAA. I was wondering with the selling of Sea Harrier and the GR9s over recent years, combined with the gap getting the F-35 into service, what role the FAA currently has and are they still actively recruiting?

  2. Ever heard of helicopters?

  3. Are they the ones that work like magic carpets but have massive ceiling fans to keep the passengers cool?

Sorry, I meant what's the crack with FAA in terms of fixed-wing aircraft?

  4. All fixed wing ratings were moved to Culdrose to retrain as rotary wing or made redundant AFAIK.

Yep we are recruiting from Pilots all the way up. The time it takes to train FW pilots and also to build the experience and knowledge means we are still recruiting.
