Hello everybody,
A friend of mine bought a " Tent 4men arctic , guy rope". Its brandnew , so we have to assemble the i ner tent with the outer. Did have onyone here in the forum a clue how to do this or has an manual or instructions. Even with Viagra we couldnt erect the tent.

On AMF(L) 1974 to 1978 my Battalion had both 4 and 10 man Arctic Tents. What i remember after marking out the tent area( by putting 2x ski ploes together and one holding handle second holding the pointy end then walking in a circle, just like a 2nd Lt) we put up Tent outer and pegging out. Then as stated put the white tent inner using toggles. I only recall having 3x poles and a base plate.
One if not the warmest tentage I have used in my time. Heating was supplied by a 'Tilly Lamp' the type with a silk mantle, you had to burn the mantle first. Fueled by Naptha, same as the 2 burner cooker that was on constantly with a pot of snow that supplied boiling water for the brew and filling thermos flasks.

What @Skunkmiester says. I can't remember whether there are tunnels for the poles to go through - I recall tieing little tags (like shoe laces) and pushing the poles through them.
Outer up first, suspended from poles. Clip white cotton inner tent to the inside of the outer tent (it can remain attached). Guy ropes at each end. There may be 3 storm guys that go over the poles.

I think that the outer attached to the hooped poles by plastic clips. It made it easier to drop the whole lot when "PULL POLE" was called.

@Skunkmiester And that's when you find out your tent has gained 4kg in frozen condensation, occupies 3 times the volume it was issued with, has the foldability of 1cm thick cardboard and the every inch of the fully extended top sleeve of your bergan is necessary.

But with the wind behind you, you're like the Cutty Sark! ⛵

I also had all the cam net. Also had some poor bloke moaning about all the group equipment he was carrying. On checking the kit he had one fuel bottle and a funnel.

The poor soft sap

There won't be any problems when there's some females around to share the load.
